Taking the extra time to research the credentials and experience of the surgeon is important in achieving the best possible results.
The outcome of any surgical procedure is dependent on the skills and experience of the surgeon and the technology at that surgeon’s disposal. Although there are many important criteria, you should consider the following questions:
- Is your doctor an experienced eye surgeon?
- Is your surgeon board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology?
- Does your surgeon possess the skills to handle any complications that may arise?
